Hash House A Go Go, located at 3628 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103, in Hillcrest, is known for it’s famous hashes. Map The roasted chicken, garlic, onion, asparagus and rosemary hash, served with crispy potatoes and topped with two eggs, is excellent. The excellent food and enormous serving sizes are the reasons there is usually a long line. Expect to put your name on a waiting list and be texted when your table is ready or make reservations to avoid the wait.
Hash House not only serves breakfast and brunch, but also lunch and dinner.
Hash House is known for it’s Bloody Marys, but I opted for the Watermelon Lemonade. It’s not only pretty, it’s refreshing.
The Meatloaf Benny is a massive amount of food. The dish is made of meatloaf, eggs, mashed potatoes and gravy. It’s enough for two, maybe three servings.
The Biscuits and Gravy dish was huge and incredible. It was served with mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, and a slice of watermelon. Plenty to take home for later.
